At The Hand Clinic, we are dedicated to the provision of specialized evidence-based occupational & certified hand therapy treatments to clients in a private and comfortable setting.
The Hand Clinic is a private, therapist-owned, out-patient hand therapy clinic located in Moncton, New Brunswick. The clinic specializes in the assessment and treatment of clients with acute, chronic & complex injuries affecting the elbow, wrist, and hand. Other specialized services provided include custom and prefabricated splinting, as well as ergonomic evaluation. The clinic includes a private assessment room, group treatment area and an open concept gym area.
The Hand Clinic operates within a multidisciplinary clinic in affiliation with Advanced Health & Physiotherapy Clinic P.C.
Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, Co-owner
Adam Burke is an Occupational Therapist (OT) and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, he moved to Hamilton, Ontario to complete a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. After graduating in 2006, Adam returned to Moncton and began his career at The Moncton Hospital. He worked 4 years in public practice in a variety of settings including: family practice and geriatric medicine, surgical, intensive care, and out-patient hand therapy. In 2009, Adam entered private practice by accepting a position as a consultant with CBI Health providing hand therapy services. In 2010, he opened Progressive Occupational Therapy & Hand Rehabilitation P.C., a private hand therapy clinic located in Moncton, New Brunswick. In 2011, Adam then obtained the designation of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). In January 2024, Adam and Progressive Occupational Therapy & Hand Rehabilitation joined Atlantic Hand & Occupational Therapy under a new partnership called “The Hand Clinic”.
Adam is a member the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists (NBAOT), the Canadian Society of Hand Therapists (CSHT) and the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC).
Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, Co-owner
Marcie graduated from Dalhousie University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Marcie has worked in a variety of roles in the areas of neuro-rehab, surgical and intensive care, orthopedics, pediatrics. Since 2005, Marcie has specialized in outpatient hand therapy working primarily with post-surgical hand conditions at The Moncton Hospital and has achieved her Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT). In March 2019, Marcie followed her passion for hand therapy and opened Atlantic Hand & Occupational Therapy clinic specializing in the treatment of upper extremity injuries, post-operative care, wrist & hand injuries, custom splinting.
In January 2024, Marcie and Atlantic Hand & Occupational Therapy joined Progressive Occupational Therapy & Hand Rehabilitation under a new partnership called “The Hand Clinic”.
Marcie is a member the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists (NBAOT), the Canadian Society of Hand Therapists (CSHT) and the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC). Marcie has also successfully completed her certification for dry needling from Acupuncture Canada.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Andrea was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and raised in Riverview, New Brunswick. After several years working in hospitality and travel, Andrea graduated with a Diploma as an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant in 2011. She spent 2 years with Extra Mural working in schools and in the community before accepting a position in the Occupational therapy department at The Moncton Hospital in 2013. Andrea then returned to Extra Mural working with community clients as a rehab assistant.
Andrea brings both her administrative and clinical expertise to The Hand Clinic. She enjoys helping clients have a positive experience both in their interactions with the office and in meeting their hand therapy goals.

Ergonomic Assessment
Ergonomic Assessment with Report: $400
Ergonomic Assessment Follow-up: $120/hr.
Travel: $120/hr.
Many extended health care plans cover occupational therapy, and most plans cover the cost of custom fabricated thermoplastic splints when submitted with a physician or nurse practitioner prescription. Please check with your insurance provider for details about your specific coverage.
